Hato Airport to My Paradiso Curaçao: taxi, rental car and travel time

Curaçao International Airport (Hato) is about 12 km from My Paradiso Curaçao. In normal traffic you'll be at the apartment within thirty to forty-five minutes. These are your options.

Option 1: a taxi from the airport

Taxis wait right outside the arrivals hall. At the time of writing, the fare to the Mambo Beach / Jan Thiel area is roughly 55 to 65 US dollars (around 100 to 116 Antillean guilders). Good to know:

• Taxis usually accept cash only; there's an ATM in the arrivals hall.
• Late in the evening and for more than four passengers (minibus) a surcharge often applies.
• Ask for the price before getting in; fares are set per zone.

Option 2: a rental car

A car is practically essential on Curaçao, including right after you land. We partner with Palmera Car Rental: they deliver the car to wherever you're staying and offer 24/7 roadside assistance. Ask them when booking whether they can have the car ready at the airport, so you can drive straight to the apartment.

The route in short

From Hato you head towards Willemstad and continue to the southeast side of the island, where the apartment sits on a gated resort. Downtown Willemstad is about 10 minutes from the apartment, so you're perfectly placed for both city and beach from the moment you arrive.

Handy before you fly

• Fill out Curaçao's ED card (digital immigration card) before your flight; see our practical information.
• Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 11:30 PM; this can be adjusted in consultation to fit your flight times.
• Bring a universal travel adapter: Curaçao mostly runs on 110V.
